“DANCING THROUGH DG!”
QUESTORS THEATRE 1st –7th March 2026!

Dear Parents and Pupils

It makes us very happy to present our Dance Gallery 2026 Show “DANCING THROUGH DG!”

This page will provide all the important aspects that will need to be taken into consideration if taking part in the show including: rehearsals, dates, fees and safeguarding. Whether you are new or have taken part in the show before, please have a good read through the following plan we have laid out, highlighting the key things that everyone taking part needs to know.

      SHOW BACKGROUND

For all our new Parents and students we want to take this time to give you as clear a picture as possible in the running of our DG shows. It will probably feel like an exaggerated amount of information to take in, but as you are new to the school, we feel it important to be as clear as possible with you all especially if you have younger students with us.

The show has always been the highlight of most student’s Dance Gallery experience. We put on a show every year at the Questors Theatre, featuring the entire Dance Gallery School creating a truly memorable experience for all involved. Last year’s performance was so wonderful with the most spectacular performances from our students, managed by the most amazing team! Every year Parents get to see their children on stage embracing their creative talents and looking like stars! From rehearsals to performance the students and team have a great time and create long lasting memories!

The show promises to be a positive, fun, memorable experience for all involved and will include sequences from the shows ‘WICKED’, ‘The Wiz’ and ‘KPOP Demon Hunters’!

      REHEARSAL DATES

There will be some rehearsal dates in the run up to show week. These rehearsals are vital to the show as they are the only opportunity to rehearse all the numbers together in running order and get those all important links (“ons” and “offs”) between each dance right. With that in mind we ask that each pupil attends as many rehearsals as possible.

The Rehearsals will be scheduled for the dates below – venue Pitshanger Methodist Church: All rehearsals will be blocked into scheduled time slots so our younger students (Rebel Rockers & Sooper Troopers) will only need to attend for shorter sessions. Time slots will be confirmed at the start of 2026.

FULL SCHOOL MOVE TO QUESTORS THEATRE FOR SHOW WEEK

      THE TEAM

It really does take a team, and we are once again so lucky to once again have the most amazing group of people working together behind the scenes to put on these great performances. Along with Maddy and Julie as creative directors with Alana coming on board as joint choreographer & Greta assisting to create the dance pieces, we have the following dream team members

MADDY GEROSA – COMPANY DIRECTOR/HEAD OF HEALTH & SAFETY.

Having watched the wonderful Kath run the show’s heath and safety for the past 5 years Maddy is taking on the role of keeping the whole company working safely and successfully as one! Kath continues to be her mentor on all our safety regulations and risk assessments, to ensure everyone is in extremely safe hands during our show week!

        AMANDA DANIELS – COMPANY MANAGER/CO.PRODUCER

Amanda comes from a background of Theatre, TV and production and knows the in’s and out’s of what it takes to create successful shows and companies. She is always forward thinking and has the most instinctively creative ideas which makes her an absolute asset to have as part of our production.

JESS BORTHWICK – LEAD SENIOR CHAPERONE & COSTUMES

Continuing after 3 super successful years we are so happy to welcome Jess back to the team as costume manager and now LEAD SENIOR CHAPERONE. Along with helping us make the show look super sparkly, she will now be managing all Senior groups helping all class chaperones with rota’s, registers and schedules.

SAM CODRINGTON – LEAD JUNIOR CHAPERONE & COSTUMES.

am did the most amazing job of Junior costumes last year and we are so lucky to have her back again also taking on the new role of LEAD JUNIOR CHAPERONE. Like Jess, along with costumes she will be  managing all Junior groups helping all class chaperones with rota’s, registers and schedules.

        SARAH McMANUS – STAGE MANAGER.

Sarah is another one of our amazing DG mums and this year will be her 3rd time taking on this mammoth and incredibly important role of Stage manager! Stage managers are responsible for ensuring that theatrical performances run smoothly and to schedule. She will organise all practical and technical aspects of rehearsals and shows and we cannot thank her enough for taking on this super important role again as part of our show team

MARY BOBROFF – HEAD OF FOH & SHOW SPONSORSHIP.

Helping us raise sponsorship funds to go towards production aspects of show week, we welcome Mary to our team. Coming from a background of entertainment and consumer PR, Mary has years of experience working as part of fast pace, large scale productions. along with sponsorship she is also helping us run our front of house teams. Thank you Mary and welcome to the team!

        CHAPERONES & PARENT HELPERS

        BECOME PART OF THE TEAM!

PARENT HELPERS – All past shows have relied on the help and enthusiasm of our wonderfully dedicated parents who volunteer their time to help along side our Dance Group Lead Chaperones! This help is essential for the smooth running of all performances and rehearsals and is vital to the shows safety and success.

All our lead chaperones are DBS checked. Along with Parent helpers they are able to provide the following assistance:

        • Accompanying pupils to and from the dressing rooms and the stage during performances
        • Helping pupils with their costumes, hair and makeup
        • Supervising the pupils in their dressing rooms
        • Door duty to allow only chaperones, show staff and pupils backstage

All parents will be contacted by their lead group Chaperone via dance class Whatsapp’s groups, asking for potential backstage help with the rehearsals and performances.

Volunteering to help backstage, is such a special way to  be more involved in the show and see all the amazing work that goes on behind the scenes 💗

        WE ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR:

        • A SEAMSTRESS to help with some costume fittings and alterations
        • HELP with SPONSORSHIP – engaging with local businesses to see if there is potential to collaborate or sponsor the show.
        • FRONT OF HOUSE – For any Dad’s who would like to help then we always need front of house staff to help check tickets and direct audiences to the auditorium at the correct times.

        SHOW FEE

As with all things there are fees attached and putting on a show can be an expensive project. It is my continued wish to work on a more economic and sustainable level for all involved. I have tried to keep my costs down with no increase from last year.

Our show fees are there to cover the costs of:

        • Costumes (sourcing, buying, making see below) *All pupils get to keep their costumes after the show unless provided and paid by Dance gallery
        • Rehearsal time (venue hire and staff)
        • Insurance (including DBS checks)

*The remainder of the costs associated with a production of this size such as hire of the theatre, technical crew and program production will be covered by ticket sales.
